Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Manager of the Year 2023
PMI Hawaii’s “Project Manager of the Year” is awarded annually to the Hawaii project manager whose exemplary project management practices and team leadership helped overcome obstacles and ensure project success. The nomination process is lengthy and the selection process involves evaluation from national PMI senior leaders.

HMSA Service Excellence Award 2021
Nominated by VP Human Resources and Organizational Development & Effectiveness at HMSA (Blue Cross Blue Shield Hawaii):
On very short notice, Ailin, Kylie, Christina and Bill built, tested and launched the COVID-19 Vaccination and Exemption Request tool in ServiceNow. The tool was vital in providing an easy method for HMSA employees to upload proof of vaccination, or exemption requests. It also allows the Validation Team a simple, automated way to track and manage the requests. A project of this type and magnitude usually takes 30-60 days to complete. This team developed (which included mapping out the employee experience for all contingencies) and successfully launched the tool in just under 14 days. The tool was so well built and tested that it flawlessly processed over 850 vaccination cards and exemption requests in its first day of service! This team’s hard work and dedication will help HMSA keep Hawaii safe and healthy.
